Page 58 Dies in Shabad- Sri Raag Mahalla 1- ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ ਸੋ ਮਰਿ ਰਹੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ॥ One who dies in the Shabad is beyond death, and shall never die again. ਸਬਦੈ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ Through the Shabad, we find Him, and embrace love for the Name of the Lord. ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਜਗੁ ਭੂਲਾ ਫਿਰੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰ ॥੭॥ Without the Shabad, the world is deceived; it dies and is reborn, over and over again. ||7|| Page 1040 Alive yet dead- Maroo Mahalla 1- ਸਚੁ ਕਹਹੁ ਸਚੈ ਘਰਿ ਰਹਣਾ ॥ Speak the Truth, and remain in the home of Truth. ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰਹੁ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਜਗੁ ਤਰਣਾ ॥ Remain dead while yet alive, and cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਬੇੜੀ ਤੁਲਹਾ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ The Guru is the boat, the ship, the raft; meditating on the Lord in your mind, you shall be carried across to the other side. ||1||
